POSSIBLE Foreclosure For ED McMahon

The New York Times reported that former host for “Star Search” Ed McMahon is said to face foreclosure on his multimillion-dollar home in Beverly Hills. It seems that he has fallen behind on his payments. He has not being able to work for about a year.

It is unclear whether Mr. McMahon and his wife, Pamela, will
remain in the six-bedroom, five-bathroom house, in a hilltop gated community overlooking Mulholland Drive

Foreclosure affects everyone. Especially at this point in time, it seems that the problem is catching up to everyone. I would have never thought famous people would be caught in the trend.

CALL THE HELPLINE

If you need someone to talk to about your problem with foreclosure, you’ll have a chance on Wednesday to talk to The Home Ownership Center in Cincinnati. They will be holding a foreclosure prevention phone-a thon. Home foreclosure, predatory lending and adjustable rate mortgages
have become a national problem due to the rising cost of living.

But having problems paying your loan doesn't mean you have to loose your home.

Make sure that when you call you have the entire information ready like the name of your lender and your loan number. I think this will be of great help since many people don’t a clue of how to prevent or deal with foreclosure.

LIFE OR FLORCLOSED HOME

The Wichita business journal published an article on how a man took his life due to foreclosure. It seems that he had prepared land to built 27 homes, but since the land was undeveloped the banks was pursuing foreclosure.

The nation's housing crisis is taking a huge financial toll and -- as Moss' death shows in the extreme -- human toll, on homeowners losing their residences to foreclosure, on home builders, on building supply firms, on lenders, and on those who develop residential lots

This seems a bit extreme for someone to take his life, but it doesn’t surprise me. People do things or think of doing things like this when they have problems that seem extremely difficult to them. Hopefully things like this wont happen often because its sad to see someone like this men taking his life for material possessions.

TIPS! AVOID FORECLOSURE

Don’t ignore the problem! Open your mail and read it to see where you stand. Always know your rights. Respond to your lender, no matter what the problem may be. For further help contact a HUD-approved housing counselor. But don’t fall for those fake foreclosure prevention companies that only want your money.

Don't lose your house to foreclosure recovery scams!

Don’t spend your money on things you don’t need. I believe that people at times spend money on other things that are not needed but wanted and forget about what is important; BILLS
MILITARY DEALS WITH FORECLOSURE

Foreclosure is four times the national average for young military families. Young soldiers are facing foreclosure while fighting for their country in Iraq. Their families back home are having a hard time keeping up with mortgages. The government and financial institutions should get together and help military families keep their homes. A solider contacted an organization asking for help.

His family was about to get tossed out of their home in Texas, and he couldn't head back to hold up the foreclosure process

I think the government should help military families out as much as possible. After all they are fighting for OUR country!!!

The Hyatt

The Hyatt Regency hotel located in downtown also has foreclosure issues. The firm Midland Loan Services has filed a foreclosure against HRC Limited partnership, which owns the downtown Hyatt hotel, for not making a payment.

The 488-room Hyatt includes the largest hotel ballroom in the city, at 14,000 square feet, along with Champs sports bar and Findlay's casual restaurant.

This is very interesting; it comes to show that even the big corporations are at risk of foreclosure and not just middle class people like I thought. The Hyatt in Monterey has a beautiful golf course and great service that I got to experience a month ago.

FIRE!!!

 READY FOR THE HEAT
People are so frustrated of not being able to pay their mortgages! Some citizen are even going to the extreme of setting their homes on fire. I guess they figured better burned than taken.

Take, for example, the case of  Sheryl Christman - a 38-year-old  truck driver's  wife from Gaines Township, Michigan. She was sentenced   to five year's probation and 1,000 hours of community service for setting her 150,000 house ablaze just three days before it was due to repossessed.

People need help, a way out to confront these hard times.  Although  I sympathy with their frustration, I don't think going to that extreme is necessary. But i guess people don't think rational when they are about to lose something they have been working hard for all their lives; their homes!
